An emergency meeting of the RPP held today under the chair of party Chairman Kamal Thapa decided to move the Supreme Court (SC) against the EC's decision to remove 'constitutional monarchy' and a 'Hindu state' from the party's statute, RPP leader Rajaram Shrestha said.
The RPP has said that demand for the constitutional monarchy and Hindu state were included in the party statute as per the ideological freedom ensured by the constitution.
The party has also decided to submit a memorandum in all district election offices across the country on March 20 and pile pressure for the restoration of a Hindu nation from the first week of April.
Similarly, the meeting has decided to register an amendment motion in the Parliament for the scrap of secularism and restoration of the Hindu nation in the constitution. RSS
