Kathmandu, March 18: The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has granted permission to the police to put lawmaker Lhyarkyal Lama (now suspended) who was arrested last Sunday on the charge of possessing illegal arms into custody for three more days for further investigation into the case.
Earlier on March 13, the police was given five days by the Kathmandu DAO to probe the case by taking him into custody.
A squad from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority ( CIAA) had discovered 14 rounds of bullets from Lama’s bank locker at Durbarmarg-based Investment Bank. Lama was under the CIAA surveillance for his alleged involvement in amassing property through illegal channels. RSS
